According to an LA Times article, Locomotive #19L, was done with its service when it crashed through a steel bumper post and a concrete wall, dangling over 20 feet above the street.
It took about 5 hours and a 250-ton crane to put the locomotive back on the track, soon after it was moved to a roundhouse for proper service and inspection.
The locomotive was unhooked at the moment of the accident and nobody was hurt.
